TALKING TOUCANS - interactive sound installation - 2019

Judith Spang: Exhibition from 17. to 29. August 2019
Opening 17 August 2019 | 7 pm

Introduction: Judith Spang in conversation with Julia Malcherek (Project Manager Art Mentoring Rhineland-Palatinate)

In 2015 the ArtLab presented the sound art project "Lingering Sounds" by Bewernitz/ Goldowski at the Kunstpavillon Burgbrohl. The ArtLab would like to bring this contemporary art genre further into the light of the regional public and had invited Judith Spang, who is playfully moving in the various media. In her work, the artist engages in dialogue with the levels between people, machines and animals. In her light and sound installations, the visitor is often involved in the process of exploring spaces through his or her own behaviour and controlling them through acoustics. Everyday objects have a function, which in the artistic work of Judith Spang are taken ad absurdum.
