In 1997, the artist Matthias Schamp founded in cooperation with the Archaeological Museum of Münster, the MYTH of the GRILL. The company art project and Fries at the same time. Since then, it has flourished with temporary branches in museums and art institutions In the country and abroad. For the temporary branch in the art pavilion Burgbrohl had thought of Matthias Schamp now a special feature: the MYTH of The GRILL was to Wunderkammer. When there were no museums, were called "chamber of wonders", the spaces in which ancient sculptures or their casts, coins, pictures, engravings, unusual stones and minerals, parts of plants, prepared birds, skeletons, and other curiosities, and rarities in a colorful mix together have been shown. A smorgasbord of features. In his chamber of wonders in the art pavilion by Matthias Schamp, on the occasion of his 2020 and 2021 in the context of his Artist-in-Residence fellowship for a few months in Burgbrohl, wore treasure: the finds, interesting observations, all sorts of Strange and precious things. A special place Nellas Paradise took here is a collection of insect photos of Nella Distelrath, the landlady of the pub "Ponderosa" in low-lützingen.
And the chamber of wonder grew: Curious cellar finds, Krotzensteine and all types of memorabilia that tell something about the area, were on loan welcome. Every week for more wonder came that this temporary MYTH-GRILL-branch increasingly compressed. The Soundtrack dad Peter, who used to do in the surroundings, folk music, and also the maiden voyage of the volcano-Express in 1977, as a musician, participated delivered.
And, of course, was deep-fried as always! Everyone was able to carve his own fries sculpture out of potatoes!
